Future of U.S.-China Relations:
What Road Ahead 2001-2010

Report CoverAt two workshops sponsored by the Nautilus Institute (www.nautilus.org), U.S. and Chinese analysts examined this key question based on their assumption that the U.S. and China will be key players in shaping global diplomacy and governance in the 21st century. The participants, including FPIF codirector Tom Barry, constructed four possible scenarios for near-term U.S.-China relations. At the center of each scenario was the dynamic and potentially explosive process China will undergo adapting to globalization.
