The so-called "Global Justice Movement" in the 1st World is a political
fraud. Behind its rhetoric about "Fair Trade" or its crocodile
tears for the 3rd World, this movement is fundamentally about protecting the Western Imperialist system and its
economic domination of the developing world. Worst of all are the pro-Western Imperialist NGOs (such as Ralph Nader's Public Citizen) and
self-serving unions (like the AFL-CIO) which advocate a thinly disguised form of American economic protectionism behind its propaganda slogans about "labor standards" or Fair Trade. The true battle against Imperialist globalization is currently being waged in the 3rd World--outside of the respectable NGOs, public policy institutes, and tame bureaucratic unions.
