Foreign Policy In Focus

Once again Congolese citizens in North Kivu province/ Eastern Congo have been displaced and others lost their lives due to the renewed violence between the Congolese armed forces and a group of "mutineers."

Could this mutiny, again causing suffering to the people, have been avoided?

You are invited to an afternoon briefing about this renewed violence in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, to address whether the solutions on the table are in the interest of the Congolese people, the role of Rwanda in the conflict, and the US position on these issues.
